This December, at the QIUP World Universities Peace Invitational Debate (QIUP WUPID), the Malaysian Institute for Debate and Public Speaking (also known as MIDP) will unveil a new digital activation platform for organisers of competitive debating – #BlueLounge.

The platform is a project that has been long introduced in sporting competitions like football and rugby, which is meant to become a platform to increase brand activation space for sponsors as well as to enhance fan engagement.

The #BlueLounge is a broadcast-friendly debate room that only live-streams the top debate fixtures during the preliminary rounds. In between debate rounds, the #BlueLounge will function as a studio for punditry programmes – interviews, debate reviews, etc.

Ahmed Faris, CEO of MIDP said, “The whole purpose of the #BlueLounge is to provide an interactive platform with quality debate content. We hope that other debate organisers would happily gauge us for #BlueLounge as it not only provides a brilliant platform to enhance engagement with debaters from around the world but also a platform to drive brand activation for sponsors / partners.”

#BlueLounge is a digital activation platform jointly developed with Suponsa Global. MIDP is the Strategic Partner of QIUP WUPID 2017.
